FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State softball fell to Omaha 9-0 on Sunday in the Summit League series finale at Tharaldson Park, with the Mavericks completing a series sweep of the Bison.
Omaha never trailed after an RBI double put the Mavericks in front in the top of the first. Omaha added three home runs in the contest to record a run-rule victory.
Chloe Woldruff, Bella Dean and Zoe King recorded hits for the Bison, and Savannah Henzler reached on a hit by pitch, for the only Bison baserunners in the game. Addie Bowers picked up the loss, allowing seven runs on five hits in four innings of work.
North Dakota State will remain at home, welcoming in North Dakota for a three-game series next week at Tharaldson park. First pitch in the doubleheader is set for noon on Saturday, with the final game at noon on Sunday.
