Turner Paces Bison Men at UTSA Invitational Saturday


SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The North Dakota State University men’s track & field team concluded competition at the UTSA Invitational on Saturday for the outdoor season opener.
 
Redshirt freshman Brooks Turner clocked 13.94 in the 110m hurdles for his outdoor debut with the Bison, already ranking him second in school history.
 
Blake Nyenati ran a personal-best 14.14 in the 110m hurdles to move up to No. 8 on the NDSU all-time list. Brock Johnsen ran 14.27 as the Bison men finished 2-4-5-6 in the event.
 
Andrew Berg won the high jump, clearing an outdoor PR of 6-08.75 (2.05m). Braden Brown was the runner-up at 6-06.75 (2.00m).
 
Ethan Moe was the runner-up in the 1500m, finishing in 3:51.88.
 
Freshman Reece Grosserode posted a wind-aided triple jump of 50-01.50 (15.28m) to place third. Sophomore Carlton Mukurazita took fourth at 48-4 (14.73m).
 
Zach McGlynn cleared an outdoor personal-best 16-04.75 (5.00m) in the pole vault to place third.
 
Freshman Tyler Milkes clocked 10.65 in the 100m dash and a wind-aided 21.22 in the 200m for his NDSU outdoor debut.
