The Minnesota Vikings lost another player in free agency and when you look at the box score, it may not seem like much of a loss. But if you are a true football fan, you understand how much Trent Sherfield meant to the team and the special teams unit.
Now, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports has reported that the Vikings are losing Sherfield to the Broncos as he is signing with them for two years, $8 million.
Sherfield heads to Denver not to be a new target for Bo Nix, though I am sure that will happen naturally from time to time. What he is bringing to Denver is a locker room presence, a leading example to meetings, and someone who may not have all the talent, but the effort in which he plays is something each team will find priceless.
The Vikings will be missing out on Trent Sherfield both on and off the field.
