Highlights: Gopher Baseball Knocks Off Kansas



Minnesota received contributions from every part of their lineup, as all nine starters reached base safely, helping the Golden Gophers put 10 runs on the board and knock off the Kansas Jayhawks 10-6 Tuesday.

Junior Noah Rooney (2-2) got the win out of the bullpen for Minnesota (7-7, ). The left-hander went five innings, giving up one run on five hits, allowing one walk and striking out one. Sophomore Will Whelan also pitched well, going one shutout inning without allowing a hit, walking two and striking out two.

At the plate, the Golden Gophers were paced by junior Drew Berkland, who went 3-for-5 on the day with two doubles and three RBI. Junior Easton Richter furnished a standout performance at the plate as well, going 1-for-3 with a triple, two walks and two RBI. Sophomore Jack Spanier also chipped in for Minnesota, putting together one hit in three trips to the plate while adding a walk and two RBI.
