Dunk Leads NDSU Women’s Golf to Finish Tied for Second Place at the Jackrabbit Invitational

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Sophomore Hannah Dunk tied for third place as the North Dakota State women’s golf team came in tied for second place on Tuesday at the Jackrabbit Invitational. 

Dunk (75-68-74—217) shot a career-low 217 to finish +1 in the tournament in a tie for third place after carding four consecutive birdies in the front nine of the final round. It marked her third top 10 finish of the season and second inside the top five.

Elise Hoven (73-73-74—220) finished in a tie for eighth after recording four birdies in the final round to end the tournament at +4. Norah Roberts (77-73-75—225) opened the final round with a birdie and climbed seven spots to finish +3 on the day and +9 overall, ending in a tie for 19th place. Madi Hicks (76-73-78—227) finished just behind at +11 overall in a tie for 30th place.

Cora Larson (76-78-79—233) shot +17 in the tournament to end in a tie for 46th place. Playing as an individual, Avery Bartels (77-81-78—236) ended +20 overall to tie for 55th in the 92-golfer field.

The Bison (300-287-301—888) tied with St. Thomas (300-282-306—888) to finish tied for second in the 15-team field with a score of +24. South Dakota State (289-292-298—879) took home their own tournament title after finishing +15.

The Bison will be back in action on Friday for the Red Rocks Invitational at the Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz.
