Bison Men Claim Four More Event Titles, Finish 2nd at Summit Indoor Championships

BROOKINGS, S.D. – The North Dakota State men’s track & field team captured four individual event titles on Saturday, but the Bison finished second in the team race at the Summit League Indoor Championships.
 
Host South Dakota State won the men’s team championship with 164.5 points, and the Bison men came in second with 148.5.
 
Redshirt freshman Brooks Turner claimed the conference title in the 60m hurdles, running a personal-best 7.76 to rank second in NDSU history and among the Top 50 in the nation this season.
 
Bison sophomore Paul Olson added a conference title in the heptathlon to go along with his 2024 Summit League decathlon crown. Olson scored a personal-best 5,365 points to rank seventh in NDSU history.
 
Zack Ramos captured the Summit League crown in the shot put, throwing a season-best 61-00.75 (18.61m) to rank seventh in NDSU indoor history.
 
Sophomore Adam Dugger won the triple jump, leaping 49-04.50 (15.05m) on his final attempt to take first.
 
The NDSU men finished 1-2-5 in the triple jump, with freshman Reece Grosserode as the runner-up with a mark of 49-02.25 (14.99m). Carlton Mukurazita was fifth at 47-11.75 (14.62m).
 
NDSU’s Andrew Berg tied for second in the high jump, clearing 6-08.25 (2.04m).
 
Sophomore Ethan Moe finished third in the mile with a time of 4:06.70.
 
The Bison men finished 1-4-5-6 in the 60m hurdles with Brock Johnsen, Logan Mathieu and Trey Heinrich following Turner.
 
Freshman Tyler Milkes placed fourth in the 200m dash, running a personal-best 21.60. He is now tied for second on the NDSU all-time indoor list.
 
Bryce Enerson took fourth place in the heptathlon with a career-best 5,112 points, moving up to 10th on the NDSU all-time list.
 
Hunter Klimek finished sixth in the 5,000m, running an indoor PR of 14:31.44 to climb to sixth in NDSU history. Jacob Knodle claimed the No. 10 spot on the NDSU all-time list with a time of 14:36.79.
 
Gabe Miles placed seventh in the 400m with a time of 48.32.
 
Grosserode was named the men’s Newcomer of the Championship as the highest-scoring true freshman in the meet.
