SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State senior thrower Merrideth Spiers was selected as the Kwik Star Summit League Women’s Indoor Field Peak Performer of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Spiers (Grant City, Mo.) won the weight throw title at the SDSU Indoor Classic with a toss of 65-06.00 (19.96m) among a field of entirely Summit League competition. It was the third-best mark of her career, coming within two inches of her personal-best that ranks No. 8 on the NDSU all-time list.
Spiers ranks 47th on the NCAA performance list this season in the weight throw.
