The 2025 NFL Draft will begin on April 24, and to prepare for that, we need Vikings fans to be fully prepared in every way. Of course, we will cover players the Vikings will need, but it is important to go beyond that.
In the case of this defensive lineman report, we will cover the position here at Vikings Wire because the team needs some better talent at the position.
The Vikings have Harrison Phillips locked up after extending him earlier in the year. Outside of Phillips, the team has a rotation of players, many of whom are looming free agents. Getting another difference maker in the middle, perhaps one who can pass rush more than Phillips, would be a good compliment.
With that in mind, here is a defensive tackle prospect who could don a Vikings uniform next season.

Ty Robinson is a very fun and impressive defensive lineman, in doses. Robinson’s film against Colorado is one of the best of any prospect this year, but other games leave a lot to be desired. I think he could be a situational pass rusher for an interior defensive line or a run-stopping defensive end in a 4-3 defensive front. He isn’t a complete defensive lineman, but he will certainly have a chance to be a game-wrecker in the right situation. If he can figure out a specific role that he wants and build from there, he will be around for a while. The problem is right now, he is going to get tossed into several situations, and it will be sink or swim.
Grade: 6.2
Projected Role: Will eventually be average starter
