Bison Men Host Oral Roberts, Denver this Week

The Games: The North Dakota State men’s basketball team will host two games at the Scheels Center this week, taking on Oral Roberts on Thursday, Feb. 13, and Denver on Saturday, Feb. 15.

Where to Watch: Thursday’s game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network. Saturday’s game will be on WDAY Xtra locally and available to subscribers of the Summit League Network through the Midco Sports Plus app.
 
Radio: Sam Neidermann (play-by-play) and Dexter Werner (analyst) will call both games on 107.9 The Fox and Bison 1660. Broadcasts can also be streamed on the NDSU Athletics app, as well as at GoBison.com/AllAccess for free.
 
Against Oral Roberts: Thursday will be the 42nd meeting all-time between North Dakota State and Oral Roberts, with the Bison leading the series 23-18. NDSU has won 18 of the 27 meetings since ORU returned to The Summit League in the 2014-15 season.
 
Against Denver: Saturday will be the 32nd meeting between NDSU and Denver dating back to the 1993-94 season. The Bison hold a 22-9 advantage in the all-time series. NDSU had won 11 straight vs. the Pioneers until Denver won both games last season.
 
Long Range Attack: The Bison rank second in the country with 12.2 three-pointers made per game. NDSU is fourth nationally in three-point percentage at 40.2 percent this season.
 
High Efficiency: The Bison are ranked second nationally in effective field goal percentage at 58.7 percent.
 
Racking ’em Up: NDSU’s 316 three-pointers made this season already stands at No. 2 on the school’s all-time list for threes in a season.

Closing In On Milestones: Jacksen Moni needs 17 points to reach 2,000 points for his career. He totaled 1,527 points in three seasons at Division II Northern State and has scored 456 this season.
            Jacari White needs 23 points to reach 1,000 points for his career. He would become the 41st player to reach 1,000 career points for NDSU.
 
National Leaderboard: Masen Miller ranks 11th in Division I this season for three-point percentage at 44.8 percent. Jacksen Moni ranks 18th in the nation for scoring at 19.8 points per game.
 
Three Double-Doubles: Three different Bison have recorded double-doubles in Summit League play: Tajavis Miller (14 points, 10 rebounds) vs. Omaha on Jan. 4; Noah Feddersen (16 points, 11 rebounds) at South Dakota on Jan. 18; and Jacksen Moni (24 points, 10 rebounds) vs. North Dakota on Jan. 25.
 
Moni in The Summit: Jacksen Moni ranks second in The Summit League in scoring (21.3 ppg) and fifth in assists (3.1 apg) in league play. He also stands seventh in the league in field goal percentage and eighth in rebounding.
 
The Big Distributor: Jacksen Moni is one of only five players in the nation 6-10 or taller to average at least 3.5 assists per game this season.
 
The Bombs Away Bison™: NDSU is attempting three-pointers at the highest rate in Division I this season. According to KenPom, 55.4 percent of NDSU’s shots attempted this year have been three-pointers – the highest percentage in the nation.
            46.8 percent of NDSU’s scoring this season has come from three-pointers — the largest share in the nation.
 
Steady Barrage: The Bison have made double digit three-pointers in 17 of the last 20 games.

New High Score: NDSU’s 110 points scored at Oral Roberts on Jan. 9 were the most ever scored by the Bison in regulation against a Division I opponent.
 
Mile High Lockdown: NDSU allowed just 50 points in the win at Denver on Jan. 11, matching its second-lowest total allowed against a Summit League opponent in the last three seasons.
 
Noah’s Big Week: Noah Feddersen stood out in NDSU’s road sweep of Oral Roberts and Denver on Jan. 9-11, averaging 17.5 points in the two victories. Including his career-high 21-point performance at ORU, Feddersen shot 12-for-13 on the road trip. He added nine rebounds and sank three three-pointers at Denver.
