Moni Named Summit League Peak Performer of the Month for December

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State forward Jacksen Moni earned the Summit League Peak Performer of the Month honor across all sports for December, league officials announced Wednesday.

Moni racked up three of four weekly men’s basketball honors during a 6-0 month for the Bison on the hardwood. The Fargo native averaged a league-best 22.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists as NDSU finished December unbeaten for the first time in its Division I era.

Moni shot 59 percent from the field in those six victories, including a 50 percent clip from 3-point range (16-for-32). He went on a personal 8-0 run in the closing 2:25 at Butler to lift the Bison past the Bulldogs, which was NDSU’s first win over a modern Big East Conference opponent.

Moni closed the month with a 28-point outing in a home win over CSU Bakersfield and had 16 or more points in each game. He also dished out a career-high seven assists in a win over Western Michigan.
