CLEVELAND – The Football Championship Subdivision Athletic Directors Association named 54 student-athletes to its 27th annual FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team released Tuesday, Jan. 7.
North Dakota State wide receiver Bryce Lance and defensive tackle Eli Mostaert were two of the honorees, and both were among the 11 finalists selected for the 24th annual FCS ADA Postgraduate Scholarship. Two student-athletes will receive $5,000 scholarships.
Football players from all FCS institutions are eligible for the award. Nominees are required to have a minimum 3.20 grade-point average and be a starter or key player with legitimate athletic credentials in at least their second year of athletics and academic standing at their institution.
A special review committee of FCS athletic directors was responsible for selecting the 2024 Academic All-Star Team and FCS ADA Postgraduate Scholarship finalists. This year’s review committee consisted of Mark Benson, Albany (chair); Kurt McGuffin, Tennessee-Martin; Sherryta Freeman, Lafayette; Skip Perkins, North Carolina Central; and Tom Michael, Eastern Illinois.
