Moni Claims Third Summit League Weekly Honor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the third time in December, North Dakota State forward Jacksen Moni claimed the Summit League Men’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor, League officials announced Monday. Moni scored a game-high 28 points for the Bison in a 94-60 victory over Cal State Bakersfield.

Moni scored 19 points in the opening 20 minutes as NDSU raced out to a 51-18 lead on a team that had beaten the Bison by five points earlier in the season. The Fargo, N.D., native finished 8-for-14 from the field and 11-for-14 from the foul line as NDSU won its eighth straight game.

The 20-plus point effort was the fifth in the last seven games for Moni. He currently leads The Summit League with 3.8 assists per game and ranks second in scoring at 18.5 ppg heading into conference play.
