Seattle Seahawks’ top running back expected to play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings

The Seattle Seahawks will likely have their top running back available for their important game on Sunday. Kenneth Walker III, the team’s top rusher, is expected to play when the Seahawks host the Minnesota Vikings in a Week 16 game.

The Seahawks’ injury report listed Walker as a full participant in practice on Thursday, raising hope he will be in the lineup against the Vikings. Walker didn’t practice on Wednesday, but practiced on Thursday for the first time since Dec. 4 and he also was a full participant on Friday.

Walker missed the past two games with a calf injury, which he sustained during the Seahawks’ 26-21 Week 13 win over the New York Jets.

Backup running back Zach Charbonnet, who rushed for a combined 188 yards – including a career-high 132 yards against Arizona in Week 14 – and three touchdowns in Walker’s absence, was also a full participant in Thursday’s practice. Charbonnet missed Wednesday’s practice with an oblique injury.
