Bears Injury Update: Braxton Jones is out for Monday against the Vikings

Earlier today, the Chicago Bears announced that starting left tackle Braxton Jones would be out for tomorrow night’s game against the Minnesota Vikings with a concussion. Jason Lieser from the Chicago Sun-Times was the first to report that Jones reported lingering symptoms this morning to the team from a hit he took in last week’s game.

With Jones out, I expect Larry Borom to be active after being a healthy scratch last week. Either he or rookie Kiran Amegadjie will start at left tackle.

The Bears have also elevated running back Darrynton Evans from the practice squad to the active roster. Starting running back D’Andre Swift is questionable with a groin injury, and reserve running back Roschon Johnson has been ruled out with a concussion.

In case you missed it, yesterday, the Bears ruled defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. out with a knee injury and offensive lineman Ryan Bates out with a concussion.
