The Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons released their final injury reports with injury designations in advance of Sunday’s game. Here they are:
Atlanta Falcons
- CB Mike Hughes, Neck, QUESTIONABLE
- DT Ruke Orhorhoro, Ankle, QUESTIONABLE
- RB Jase McClellan, Knee, OUT
The Falcons have just three players with an injury designation for Sunday’s game at US Bank stadium, and only backup RB Jase McClellan has been ruled out. Mike Hughes was a full participant all week in practice so he seems more likely to play on Sunday, as does Ruke Orhorhoro, who was upgraded to a full participant in Friday’s practice.
The Falcons gave several offensive and defensive linemen a rest day on Friday, but none have injury designations.
Minnesota Vikings
- CB Stephon Gilmore, Hamstring, OUT
- OLB Patrick Jones II, Knee, QUESTIONABLE
- OLB Andrew Van Ginkel, QUESTIONABLE
- LS Andrew DePaola, Hand, QUESTIONABLE
- DT Harrison Phillips, Undisclosed, QUESTIONABLE
- K Will Reichard, Quad, QUESTIONABLE
- G Dalton Risner, Back, QUESTIONABLE
On the Vikings’ side, some surprises with the number of questionable designations. Harrison Phillips was a new addition to the injury list and as of this writing, his injury has not been disclosed. It seems more likely than not that most if not all of the questionable players will play, but each case is a bit different. Kevin O’Connell said he was happy with where Dalton Risner is, and said he wasn’t sure if this back injury is related to the back injury that landed him on IR, so that sounds more like Risner will play. O’Connell didn’t comment on the other questionable players, other than DePaola and Reichard look good, suggesting they’ll both play. His not getting into much detail and the other questionable players suggests they’re more likely to play and are working through minor injuries.
We won’t know for sure until Sunday, but I would expect most if not all of the questionable players to play on Sunday.
Lastly, Stephon Gilmore is out for Sunday, as seemed likely earlier in the week. Fabian Moreau will replace him, but other CBs may get some limited reps as well- perhaps Dwight McGlothern will be active for the game and get a few reps. We’ll see.
